If you're wanting to compete in Kata, then you'll need to get the proper uniform.

The KWON Kata Karate Gi is KWON’s premium patterns uniform. It features an open 'kimono' style jacket with World Karate Federation (WKF) approved branding and KWON logo embroidered on the chest and shoulders. The 100% heavy cotton material has a soft but strong feel to it, which will help to enhance your techniques whilst also being the traditional Japanese kata fit with shorter length sleeves and pants. 

Approved to be worn at all competitions in NZ, Australia and worldwide.

KWON Karate uniform sizing is done in centimeters. The best way to get the right size is to measure your height, then for Kata uniforms only, KWON recommends rounding down to the nearest size.
